Trying to get the puppies playing today! Mocha is not helping me! She lets them latch on. I have to do a better job. They are not interested in the ball at all, too busy looking for milk. They are not in the mood for a video today. Look at her pretty blue eyes! Thanks for watching!
We scheduled and early litter exam just in case a few of the new puppy owners insisted on taking them home for Christmas. The puppies have been eating softened puppy food and drinking water for a week and a half. The exam revealed no alarming issues, so the puppies are healthy enough to go home this week. We are encouraging the new owners to leave them with us until New Years eve, when they will have received their first booster shots, been checked for internal parasites and had another examination. (or bring them by so that we can take them) If the puppies go early, we insist they provide us with confirmation of their 6 week examination. We have been bringing our pets to see Dr Barker since 1998. (He has a very fitting name, although he cares for cats as well.) He was very gracious to describe his examination of the pups with the camera rolling. Dr Barker also provided us with a detail of his notes from his exam today. A beautiful day to play in the sun! The litter exam went really well! I apologize for putting up the video late. I had to work a full day after the vet visit. I started the puppies on puppy food today! They did great!!! Check ‘em out. A couple of them decided that the puppy food was tastier on the other side! I need to wake them and give them a chance to relieve themselves first, next time! Hope you enjoy this one! John
I would like to one day design a house to accommodate a puppy addiction. Who knows. Mocha feels left out, today. Mocha is acting folks. I know she looks sad, but it’s OK. Mocha is eating a lot less and beginning to dry up. What a mess this morning! I would like to get a grip on the paper training. It is much more difficult with 6 of them. I think last nights mess was more my fault. We’ll see! I like how they look for me (or rather my shoes!) Camo always seems to wait by the door. Mr Camo is always the last one in!
Murphy is back! Both pups slept well last night, and so did I! They missed each other. I had to take Murphy’s new collar off. Mocha just doesn’t like them on her puppies! Murphy was missed. Thanks for watching!

MERRY CHRISTMAS !!!!!! btw, Mocha is doing well. We have her outside when any puppy goes home. We will have at least one puppy until January 11th. At least 2 through January 4th. She has been paying close attention lately (since we took the pups to Dr Barker). I am not sure she has noticed yet, but I am sure in a week, she will look around for them a bit. We will smother her with attention and lots of exercise! It is hard to believe, but by the time you can watch this, the puppies will be one day of 5 weeks old! We gave them their 3rd dose of Strongid-T dewormer today. Here are their weights as of earlier today.
